As President and CEO, Gene Thompson brings a dynamic combination of sales, real estate, and mortgage experience to InterLinc Mortgage. His many years in the mortgage banking industry, combined with his dynamic approach to sales and operations, have brought the organization unprecedented growth opportunities. The long-lasting relationships that he’s built with builders and Realtors® over the years have enabled InterLinc Mortgage to become a powerhouse in the mortgage industry.
“What stands out the most about InterLinc Mortgage is the culture. Great leadership and great vision would be nothing without great people,” said Thompson.
Thompson graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a major in Accounting and a minor in Finance. He has been married for 21 years and has two children. Outside of work Thompson can be found hunting, fishing, or spending time with his family.
With 16 years of experience in the mortgage industry, James Durham oversees branch performance, as well as recruitment and selection of future InterLinc Mortgage team members. He attended Auburn University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Business and a minor in Finance.
“I love this company because it allows me to learn from the many amazing people I work with every day about life and work. I am able to help people achieve goals that they may not have thought they knew how to achieve.”
Durham is married with three children. In his free time, he enjoys doing anything outdoors including wakeboarding, hunting, fishing, and exercising. He also loves spending quality time with his family.
David Scheiderich leverages his more than 25 years of experience in mortgage banking to oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, servicing, and warehouse lending at InterLinc Mortgage. Since joining the team in October 2015, he has been integral to the company’s growth by maximizing profits, managing expenses, and identifying shortfalls inside the organization.
When asked why he’s passionate about the mortgage industry, Scheiderich said, “I get to be a part of a business that helps individuals achieve the American dream of owning a home.”
Scheiderich has been married for 25 years and has two children, a 24-year-old daughter, and a 22-year-old son. He enjoys spending time with family, fishing, and golfing in his time outside of work.
