InterLinc Mortgage, a Houston based full-service mortgage lender, is pleased to announce that Thu-Lynn “TL” Nguyen has joined the organization as VP of Marketing. With over a decade of experience in the industry, Nguyen most recently served as Director of Marketing at NRL Mortgage.
Nguyen joins InterLinc as an accomplished leader who specializes in creating disruptive change, building brands in the mortgage space, designing a positive customer experience and inspiring productivity, even in situations with limited resources.
“We’re delighted that TL made the decision to join the InterLinc family. With the challenges our industry is experiencing today, having a dynamic marketing leader skilled in generating demand is necessary. In the short time TL has been with us, she’s already proven her worth in solidifying the team structure and putting plans and initiatives in place to disrupt the market and position InterLinc as a serious industry player,” says InterLinc CEO and President, Gene Thompson.
As a native Houstonian, Nguyen started her career at an advertising agency after graduating in 2009 from the University of Houston’s Jack J. Valenti School of Communication. She then began leading marketing teams in the mortgage space at Envoy Mortgage and then at NRL Mortgage. With skill sets in new customer acquisition, demand generation, brand awareness, and strategy development, Nguyen is most passionate about building and leading marketing teams, notably in the United States and India.
“Every marketing leader within a mortgage company is responsible for one thing, and that’s to create a sticky service for their branches and originators,” says Nguyen. “By building a leading team, implementing the right technology platforms and executing a winning strategy, we’ll create that stickiness at InterLinc which will position us to expand our footprint and help more American families realize their own homeownership dreams.”
As a first-generation immigrant and the first in her immediate family to graduate from college, Nguyen credits her work ethic to her Vietnamese parents. “Their grit and determination to provide a solid foundation for our family gives me motivation to never let them down and succeed in ways they would have never dreamed,” she shares. Today, she enjoys spending her weekends with her three young kids, ages 4 months to 4 years, and husband of seven years.
