Earlier this month, InterLinc superstar and employee of 7 1/2 years, Rachel Zakos (Ballard), was named a 2019 Houston Admin Awards Finalist for the Office Manager of the Year Award by The Admin Awards.  Only four others in the Houston Metro Area were recognized in this category. The Admin Awards recognizes administrative excellence in nine distinct categories. The Office Manager Award recognizes one who effectively handles a wide range of administrative responsibilities in the workplace ranging from administrative support to managing office facilities and everything in between. This award is reserved for the Administrative Professional that wears many hats and enjoys the challenge of serving an organization’s diverse office administration needs. All of us who have the honor of working with Rachel were not surprised that she was recognized as a finalist for this prestigious award.  As Executive Assistant to the CEO and President/COO of InterLinc Mortgage Services, Rachel engineers the fast-paced schedules of two managing executives.  She also supervises the day-to-day operations of a dynamic office, which is home to 32% of InterLinc’s 372 employees.

From negotiating vendor contracts for 40(+) branches, to coordinating meetings across ten states, to ensuring special occasions are recognized throughout the organization, to supervising a team of her own; she handles all tasks she is presented with in a prompt, professional manner to ensure daily operations run effectively and efficiently. One of Rachel's most outstanding accomplishments is seen year after year, in her role as the managing director of InterLinc’s Annual Employee Rally.  This two-day event hosts 400(+) guests from across the US and involves leading the coordination of arrangements for all employees, daily agendas, multiple guest speakers, awards presentations, as well as the annual charity gala for the InterLinc Family Foundation. We know Rachel prides herself on hard work, dedication and perseverance, and it is seen throughout our organization on a daily basis.  Her commitment to her InterLinc family is unwavering and we appreciate Rachel more than she will ever know.  Congratulations Rachel!  You are, and always will be, #1 to us!
