Employee of the Month – Robin Davis

In the words of our CEO, James H. VanSteenhouse, “Respect is earned.  The respect you show to others is an immediate reflection of your self-respect…Honesty is appreciated.  Honesty is so important, you can’t build a strong relationship on half-truth and half lies….Trust is gained.  Trust is the glue of life.  It is the most essential ingredient in effective communication…Loyalty is returned.  Loyalty is not grey; it is black and white.  You are either loyal completely, or not loyal at all.”

Robin Davis, SE Region Underwriting Team Lead out of Boerne, TX, is respectful.  She is honest and trustworthy.  She is completely loyal to all of those around her.  For this reason, Robin has been selected as InterLinc Employee of the Month – August 2018!

Here is what Amy King, Remote Underwriter out of Lutz, FL, had to say about Robin, “She is constantly striving to make our team better by encouraging us to rely on each other and build relationships…She is always honest.  I can count on her to look at a situation from all sides and give me honest feedback.  Even when I may be over-thinking or focused on a less important issue, her honesty is always constructive and instructive…I trust her completely.  She does what she says she is going to do…Robin is absolutely loyal.  Every question, every thought, and every decision she makes is based on what is best for our company.  InterLinc made a sound decision hiring her, and I am a much better underwriter for being under her leadership.”

Amber Kohout, Remote Underwriter out of Piedmont, OK, said Robin “is a great leader for our team and is always there to support us.  I have learned so much since joining her team.  She helped me make the transition to InterLinc smooth and she is very patient with all my questions.  She is so good at helping with tough files and keeps everything running smooth for our team.”

Jennifer Kinser, Remote Underwriter out of Cleveland, GA, noted, “Robin is by far the best team lead I have ever had and because of her always fantastic attitude I am very grateful.  Robin sets the bar higher every day knowing that her team will go above and beyond to support each other and everyone in this amazing organization that’s not a job but a family.”

Donna Barnes, Remote Underwriter out of Mt. Joy, PA, said, “Robin has earned my respect over and over.  She has a wealth of knowledge and has exceptional people skills.  She always takes the time to share her knowledge and help her team (and branches) overcome obstacles so that we can provide the best service possible.  Her honesty is 2nd to none.  She will review things with you and if you are incorrect she is sure to clearly explain to you why, how to prevent the error in the future and gives you the tools to successfully do the research yourself.  I have never experienced a time when Robin has steered me wrong and she does all of this without making you feel incompetent.  The trust Robin’s team has in her keeps us together as a strong unit working to help each other and support each other.  This is a result of the trust that Robin has developed between all of us and with her.  Robin daily displays unwavering loyalty to InterLinc and the responsibilities of her position.  She is always positive, optimistic and supportive regardless of the situation at hand.  I have been in the mortgage business for over 30 years and I can honestly state that Robin is one of the best people I’ve had the privilege of working with/for.  There just isn’t enough space to describe all of the reasons I feel Robin is one of InterLinc Mortgage’s best assets.”

Stephanie Phelps, Remote Underwriter out of Broken Arrow, OK, said Robin “is the best Team Lead I have ever worked with.  She is always available to the team and makes us confident in our decisions.  One of the best things about her is she always has our back and I feel like that is so important for us as underwriters to feel that security when we are making decisions on loans to know we have that support behind us.”

And finally, Elizabeth Beemer, Remote Underwriter out of Tuscaloosa, AL, said, “Robin is honest to a fault. She is the first one to admit when she makes a mistake, or is wrong, and immediately sets out to either correct the situation or to accept full responsibility. She is honest with herself, and comfortable in both her knowledge and who she is which is the sign of an individual who will always give that same honesty to others.  She is loyal, without being naïve and will fight for who/what she believes with determination and gusto.  Although it is a cliché, Robin’s word is her bond.  I met and worked with her long before coming here, and I trust her to always do the right thing, not the easy thing. Her belief in what this company represents is the biggest reason why I wanted to work here.  As a result of each of the first three characteristics, Robin has earned my complete respect. It also helps that she is one of the most hardworking and generous people that I have ever had the privilege to call a co-worker, a mentor, and a friend.”

As you can see, Robin MORE than deserves this honor.  She is the type of team member everyone wishes they could work alongside.  There are no words to describe the appreciation we have for her and her leadership.  Congratulations Robin and thank you for everything you do!
